The maximize button actually puts the window in full screen mode. There are lots of options and the interface arrangement is neat & orderly and user-friendly. I used just 'GOTD' as my "email" address. Installed and registered easily - no hoops, and the registration code is provided in the readme. I've seen a lot of comments about hard to use - if you need tutorials please let me know - happy to use this software to create tutorials on it. This is pleasant to use and gives great results. Steep learning curve? That's almost vertical. I've also used HitFilm Express, and that's gigabytes of just bloated mess. So leaving everything to 'default' gives a 90 MB file, but explicitly set the resolution to 1280x720 and the size goes up to 200 MB. Additionally, leaving the other options set to 'default' actually means 'minimal', when someone would think this means 'optimal'. This means you can only set to specific values - not values you want. When exporting, you only have a dropdown for setting the bitrate. Shift+Arrow or Ctrl+Arrow don't do anything. The arrow keys go back granually - frame by frame - but if you want to go back a minute or five, you have to click randomly on the scrollbar. The editor works well, but there are still some annoying gripes.
